How to Capture Memories in Your New City

So, you're in a new city. You're getting your bearings. Slowly but surely. Hopefully you're putting yourself out there. Maybe, getting out of your comfort zone. After all, what better time than now? When you get into the groove of living in a new place, memorable moments seem to happen without plan. Sometimes, you don't even know you're experiencing the memorable moments until they are memories! Spontaneity is the spice of life I think... someone said.

Want to make sure these moments last? Well, to take a page out of our grandmothers' books, the best way to keep the memories alive is through physical photo albums. You heard correctly. Nothing feels as timeless as flipping through the pages of a photo album! Especially the ones your childhood memories are captured within! It occurred to us at studentcity that these albums seemed to be reserved for childhood memories. There aren't many physical albums devoted to your young adulthood and formative years, where you might be able to witness our transition into our true selves.

Step one: find a camera. I think a really fun way to go about this, is to go the disposable route. It's relatively stress-free, as you can simply bring the camera back when you're finished and forget about it. You don't have to worry about the constant replacement of film, and you can shoot at your own pace. Take a look around. There are definitely dozens of camera stores in your city, with staff who will be willing to assist you on your journey. Most importantly, though, try not to stress on the perfect moments to shoot. You will know when they happen. They seem to find you.
